I was building a snow mountain for the kids. Fortuantely the powerful blower outdid the wind and what you see was only a small amount.
why did u through it against the wind?
nice tractor…love it.
Mike
It’s a big plus when you’re out at 3AM and it is pitch black outside. Otherwise the snowblower blocks the regular headlights. I also installed extra lights on top of the cab which really light up your path!
I like the little raised headlight system. I’ve never seen that before.
Yea last year we had a lot of wet snow plus I hit a curb doing my neighbor’s drive and sheared the right shear bolt about half a dozen times over the course of the winter. Anyway, it’s better to have the bolt shear than to have something else more expensive break. I just went to the hardware store and bought a package of bolts and keep them and some wrenches in the tractor. I live in a small neighborhood with a lot of senior citizens for neighbors whom I clear their driveways and sidewalks.
i got a John Deere 790 tractor with a 2ft high snowblower. ive gone through about 32 or so inches of wet snow ice and dry snow. but i had a problem. i broke the safety shear pin.

Yea I have to agree. BTW My real name is Bob. I just thought DearJon was a good handle with double edge meaning. We had 4 inches of wet snow this morning. I went out at 5AM and cleared 9 driveways. The temp was hanging around 32 so I wanted to get the snow off the drives before it got too wet and created chute clogging problems. Did you ever hear of spraying your chute with wd-40 to help keep it clean of snow? It owrks pretty good but someone told me to try silicon spray. Later
Dearjon Those Guys with those orange tractors dont know what they are missing! But my other choice of tractor would be A New Holland / Ford ! John Deere Definetly stands behind their Products Plus higher resale Value !Those Kubota I guys Are Just mad at the world because they didnt Buy Mean Green John Deere I believe In supporting U.S & North American made products !
How is Cold Lake? I spent some training time with your Royal Air Force in Cold Lake back in the 80’s. I met a lot of friendly folks, military and civilians that really made me feel welcome and invited me to personal birthday parties and such. I kept in contact for a while but have moved around so much that I eventually lost contact. BTW - J.D. makes a special cover to go over the fan that keeps out the cold air. I have one on mine. Just my right foot gets cold by the pedals.
dearjon, i am 6′4″ and find it awkward, but that isnt the tractors fault, the htr in this one barely keeps frost of the windows. and with stupid design of the engine fan pulling out of the cab, it creates a negative air space…not good for our -30C canadian winters. however I agree with you, there is more than one flavour of ice cream for a reason. best wishes and regards varmitr in alberta
to each his own while kubota may be a nice machine I am very happy with my x595 it is a very versatile machine complimented with a host of attachments I love the heated cab it is almost a must where I live in northern wisconsin. used to have a yanmar with a back blade and about froze my ass off and got crick in my neck plowing snow
my employer uses the x595 (mow and snow), im disapointed with it. not ergo, the cab is purely an afterthought, controls are stiff. kubota has a much friendleir machine sorry guys
Sounds Cool Alot of attachments ! My X585 is Fuel injected Gas But mine is also good On Fuel! I have Rear 60 inch blade / single mold board plow / A Trac Vac 3point hitch core aerator & A 48 inch 647 John Deere Tiller For It We didnt get any snow this year Byt maybe I ll get to try it out one day in snow ! Wisconsin, 50 miles north Green Bay. I like my X595 It’s not a fuel hog, just the right size for getting into tight spaces, snow blowing for neighbors a lot are elderly and disabled. I also have several attachments but never as many as I would like to have. I have a front-end loader of which I also made quick attach forks to convert the loader into a fork lift, a 56 inch mower deck with blower and MC519 Collection cart, dethacher cab with heater.
