This gas-powered walk-behind lawnmower has received good reviews and is excellent value for money. it is equipped with an electric starter and starts easily at the turn of a key. The JS35 is built to cope with different conditions of terrain, grass type and grass length with a rear wheel variable drive transmission which gives better traction on rough terrain. The variable drive transmission allows an infinite range of speeds, up to about 3.6 mph so that you can slow down around obstacles and speed up easily on straight stretches with using the conveniently located speed selector on the handle.
Engine
The 190cc 4-cycle Briggs & Stratton engine is equipped with electric start but has a recoil-rope starter system as a backup. John Deere engines are well know for their reliability. Easier starts are ensured by the specially designed carburetor which is designed to start without priming or choking. The fuel tank features a quick start system by dripping fuel stabiliser from the fuel cap into the fuel tank. High torque for ensures even mowing under the toughest mowing conditions. The engine meets CARB and EPA air emission standards.
Cutting Height Adjustment
Easy cutting height adjustment with a single lever adjusts all four wheels to change the cutting height from 1.25 inches to 4 inches.
3 in 1 Operation
The 3-in-one blade give excellent performance. Side discharge deflector, rear bag and mulch cover come standard with the Js35 lawnmower. Easily change between modes. The rear bag has a large 2 bushel capacity and the hanging design means that it can be installed or removed very easily. When the bag is removed the rear-discharge cover closes to allow mulch or side discharge operation. Flipping up the cover, and installing the deflector allows side discharge.
Deck
21 in. steel deck is strong for durability but light enough for easy handling.The underside of the mower has been designed to be free of hardware to prevent build up of grass clipping.
Controls
The controls are conveniently located on the wide handlebar. The engine will continue running with light pressure on the zone control and both engine and blade will stop when the pressure is released. The handles folds for ease of storage.
Overall a good quality lawnmower at a moderate price.
